A fabric neck-pillow cover must match the pillow's curved shape and thickness. Start with the exact pillow model and ask whether the replacement cover is made for it or provides usable measurements.

Product and fit checks
Check openings for straps, buckles or adjustments. A cover should allow the pillow to operate as intended without pulling a closure out of position. During a permitted trial, insert the pillow gently and check where seams sit against your skin.
Compare the fabric surface where it touches your face and neck, while treating softness as a preference rather than a performance measurement. Check whether the chosen cover changes the pillow's shape when fitted. If the product uses fasteners or a seat attachment, make sure those parts remain accessible. Confirm whether a replacement is for the complete cover or only another component shown in the photograph.
Choosing for your use
A removable cover and the insert have separate cleaning requirements. Follow each label rather than placing the assembled pillow in the wash because its outside fabric is washable. Cabeau's care guidance is useful for understanding that distinction; the instructions for your own model remain the relevant ones.
Handling and planning
Think about replacing a cover versus buying a storage bag. A fabric cover touches the pillow during use, whereas a carry bag contains it between uses. Compare spare-cover availability and removal instructions before purchase, then let a cleaned cover dry as directed before reassembling the pillow. Avoid assuming a similarly shaped replacement will fit every U-shaped design.
Keep the pillow’s model information when purchasing a spare cover. If compatibility is unclear, ask for usable measurements and the intended insert type before committing to a replacement.
